BIOEQUIVALENCE

Bioequivalence is a property existing between two or more medicinal products that show equivalent behaviour in the body. In the case of biosimilars, after demonstrating physicochemical and functional biosimilarity in in vitro tests, clinical bioequivalence is established at the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic level (PK/PD studies).
