Esteban Corley, Director of mAbxience Argentina (pharmADN) has more than 30 years’ working experience with Biopharmaceuticals. All his career has been devoted to develop, manufacture and market Biosimilar pharmaceuticals to improve access and affordability.

During his professional career he has co-founded several Biotech companies in Argentina and contributed  to achieve close collaborations between them and European Biotech companies underlining the international scope of these biotech ventures.

Esteban has also worked for the Argentine Ministry of Science and Technology as the Director of an international cooperation program between the European Union and Mercosur countries

In 2007 Esteban co-founded pharmADN, a company that is an essential member of the mAbxience group, producing monoclonal antibodies.

He is a member of the advising committee for the CABBIO (Argentine-Brazilian Biotechnology center) and a member of the Board of Directors of Biotecsur, Mercosur´s Biotechnology Platform, he is also a member of the Argentine Chamber of Biotechnology.

Esteban holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Business degree from the Universidad Austral.

Ayman joined mAbxience in July 2018 as Global Head of Regulatory Affairs and member of the Executive Committee.

Prior to joining mAbxience, Ayman held senior leadership and executive positions of increasing responsibility within Sandoz, a division of Novartis.  He served as Director, Regulatory Competence Center for Sandoz Canada Inc. where he led the Canadian regulatory and clinical function in the registration and life cycle management. He served on the Canadian Generic Association as Member of the Scientific Committee, where he worked to transform government legislation and policy at both federal and provincial levels. 

Ayman was promoted to Global Head, Regulatory Competence Centers at Sandoz International GmbH, Germany. He was a member of the Sandoz Global Regulatory Leadership team and served on the Novartis GDD Leadership team. In his capacity, he led a regulatory organization of +100 FTEs, spanning over 160 countries and responsible for Sandoz global regulatory filings and launches across all therapeutic areas, health authority interactions, industry association interactions and global governance of affiliate offices worldwide. Under his leadership, Ayman and his team completed +6000 global regulatory filings to regulatory agencies worldwide and received over +5000 regulatory approvals, establishing Sandoz as market leader in the industry.

Ayman was further promoted to Global Head, Drug Regulatory Affairs (ad. interim) where he led Sandoz regulatory organization (+850 FTEs) and the Global Regulatory Leadership team.  He also served on the Sandoz Development Leadership team and Novartis GDD Leadership team.  He initiated and led the largest global transformation and restructuring of Sandoz regulatory organization, spanning national, regional, and global organizations.

Prior to Sandoz, he served as Director, of the International Regulatory Affairs division at Pharmascience Inc., one of Canada’s largest privately held family owned pharmaceutical companies.
Ayman earned his Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada and earned his Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Illinois, U.S.A. and WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.

Susana Millán is Medical Director in mAbxience. During more than 20 years she has acquired a broad expertise in the field of clinical studies, pharmacovigilance, data management, regulatory affairs, pharmacology and clinical strategy.

Susana started to work in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of new drug development in oncology from the early development in Rhone Poulenc Rorer (Sanofi Group), as Clinical Research Associate, to later become Oncology Manager, in charge of Gene Therapy Phase I Studies. She later spent 10 years in Pharmamar in the Clinical Development Department, where she took the position of International Global Director for Clinical Operations and Data Management, managing the goals and objectives of the clinical trials in Oncology and Hematology indications.

She joined mAbxience in 2011 as Medical Director, including Medical, Clinical Trials and medical Affairs departments. She is in charge of managing the clinical development of the company’s pipeline, identifying opportunities and leading initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity, efficiency and quality of outputs for medical activities.

Susana holds a University degree in Life Sciences (Biology & Biochemistry) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid University. She has completed her PhD in Molecular Biology and postdoctoral studies in Human Physiology in the Medicine Faculty of Complutense de Madrid University.

Edmund Carey is Global Head Quality and Compliance for Insud Pharma, responsible for all aspects of the quality and pharmacovigilance organizations across the business. Possessing over 20 years of experience in highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets, with significant international experience living in Europe, India and Canada, Edmund is an experienced Quality Executive with a track record of building a culture of quality, executing transformational change, driving improvement and leading operations through great and difficult moments.

Prior to joining Insud Pharma, Edmund spent seven years at Apotex, Canada’s largest pharmaceutical company, in increasingly more responsible roles. He served as Vice President Quality and Compliance where he modernized quality in order to build a sustainable culture of quality across all aspects of the organization. Prior to that appointment, Edmund was Global Director, Quality Compliance where he was instrumental in establishing the global quality system, navigating difficult moments and drove enhancement of the industrial plants to assure regulatory conformance.

Prior to Apotex, Edmund spent ten years in increasingly more responsible roles at Biovail, a publically traded pharmaceutical company that used its patented controlled-release technology to improve upon drugs already approved by Health Authorities. He was Director, Global Quality Systems where he established programs to measure, monitor and improve the quality and compliance of the operations and business units, to standarize practices and assure regulatory conformance. Edmund also lead the global audit program and was the key liason with Health Authorities globally.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Genetics) from the University of Western Ontario (London, Canada) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance from the Toronto Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology (Toronto, Canada). Edmund is a Canadian national, currently based in Spain.

Francisco Olivera is Director of the mAbxience plant in León. He has an extensive, 15-year track record in the pharmaceutical industry.

Francisco began his career at a biotechnology laboratory specialising in developing and manufacturing recombinant cytokines for therapeutic use. He worked in areas including cell culture, protein purification and analytical development.

In 2009, Francisco joined the team at PharmADN, and later mAbxience, where he was directly involved in the development of monoclonal antibodies. Francisco took over as head of operations, and played a key role in the design and installation of mAbxience's first production plant in Buenos Aires.

When mAbxience acquired Genhelix in July 2014, Francisco relocated to León, where he worked on the construction and commissioning of the new plant and held the role of Operations Manager for four years.

In 2018 and 2019 he was Commercial Manager for Latin America, participating directly in business development for biosimilar products throughout the region.
Francisco has a degree in Biotechnology from Argentina's National University of Quilmes and an MBA from UADE Business School in Buenos Aires.

Nick joined Mabxience in November 2020 as the Global Commercial Director , responsible for the Business Development and Commercial functions of Mabxience.

With over 30 years of experience in the life sciences Industry Nick is an experienced BD-Corporate Development Executive with a track record establishing successful partnerships and closing complex transactions including M&A, Joint Ventures, Co-Development and licensing deals. Nick has experience managing projects across the life cycle from discovery to late stage and marketed products including Biologics and Biosimilars.

20 years of International experience living in Asia Pacific and Central Europe including work assignments in Japan, China, South East Asia and United States includes MNC´s such as Aventis, Quintiles Transnational, Takeda and Mallinckrodt alongside Biotech experience at Serono and Epirus.

Strong focus on business strategy and expertise on early stage builds, startups and geographic expansion , complement Nicks experience in General Management at both country and regional level with specific focus on emerging markets

Mauricio Seigelchifer is Technology Transfer Director in mAbxience. He has over 30 years’ experience working in the field of biopharmaceuticals. He is very committed to improving the access of all the patients to the biopharmaceutical medicines.

Mauricio is co-founder of several Biotech companies where he helped to develop and commercialize medicines as Interferon alfa, Interferon beta, Erythropoietin and a vaccine against Hepatitis B. For more than 12 years he was President of PC Gen.

In 2007 Mauricio co-founded pharmADN, a company that is an essential part of the mAbxience group. pharmADN was initially created as an R&D company which is now producing monoclonal antibodies.

Mauricio is Member of the Proteins Expert Committee of the USP (United States Pharmacopeia) 

Mauricio obtained a PhD in Biological Sciences at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and later on, he performed a Post Doc at The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia.

Teresa joined mAbxience in February 2020 as Head of Legal and member of the Executive Committee to lead the legal strategy in Mabxience.

With a law career spanning more than 20 years, Teresa started her career as a private practice corporate, civil and criminal lawyer to then join the pharmaceutical industry where she has amassed over 13 years in-house legal counseling and compliance experience supporting multiple business units with increased global responsibility, and has developed a solid background in complex international negotiations and in a wide variety of agreements and strategic legal advice on research, development, approval and market entry of pharmaceutical products.

Teresa is a qualified lawyer admitted to the Portuguese Bar and obtained her law degree magna cum laude from the Portuguese Catholic University, also with continued education at the Centre for Biomedical Law from the University of Coimbra.

Julieta Volpellier is the Finance Controller in mAbxience. She has more than 15 years of experience in the area of Business Planning and Controlling, New Business valuations & acquisitions.

Julieta started her career in the Oil and Energy Industry and continue developing it in different businesses and industries that have given her a great versatility for the analysis of business KPIs and strategic vision for business recommendations.

In 2008, Julieta joined Grupo Insud in Argentina where she was responsible for creating and implementing business planning processes, managing teams, supervising business operations and designing strategic plans for the local business.

In 2020 she was relocated to Madrid where she worked as Transfer price & Tax Valuation Manager.

Julieta is an Accountant and has a degree in Business Administration from the Argentina Catholic University in Buenos Aires.
